Since 1920 OVASCO INDUSTRIES has been supplying a wide variety of Flexible Packaging: sandbags, woven plastic, HDPE / LDPE plastic, FIBC, bulk, valve, paper, cotton, burlap in bag, sheet, and roll form. Wiping Materials: rags, towels, paper towels, lint free wipes, tack cloth and Textile Products: woven, non-woven, knits to industrial, agricultural, and construction markets. A cornerstone for our many years of existence has been to remain a forward thinking company with vision of how to leverage our strengths and continue our consistent growth. In addition to our diversified range of converting abilities we have in Louisville, strong relationships have been established with offshore partners. These partners are fully integrated from raw material manufacturing to end product conversion. In essence a very short supply chain yielding considerable value.
Initially all our products were produced in-house or under contract with domestic manufacturers. Since the 1980’s we have searched the world looking for new materials that will continue to give our customers the best in value and quality. Our ongoing search has yielded high quality producers with established reputations and proper controls in areas of importance. Visiting their offices and factories on a regular basis keeps us up to date with state of the art advances and trends in the marketplace. It also allows us to strengthen our relationship so we can provide our customers with the products they need.
For years companies in many industries have talked about the environment and the importance of caring for it through programs like re-cycling / re-using. Ovasco’s roots are in re-cycling as a key process for making high-level usable products. From our beginnings, we have recycled and reused textiles for applications such as heavy duty shipping sacks and wiping cloths. We manage the process by taking several substrates from the landfill stream and convert them into products. In addition to our standard product lines we also make materials to specification designed to further complement our family of products. Our growth is nurtured and supported by further developing items for applications such as , protective and thermal packaging along with materials for applications such as wiping, polishing, filtering and sorbents.
Ovasco’s modern 100,000 square foot facility houses our administrative and corporate offices, space for material conversion, and warehousing for raw and finished materials - all under one roof. Ovasco is centrally located in Louisville Kentucky near the crossroads of Interstates 64, 65, and 71. This convenient location allows us to reach most nationwide shipping points in as few as 2 - 3 days. Adding maximum flexibility to our delivery options, the International Air Hub for United Parcel Service (UPS) is only a few short miles away to accommodate any late-in-the-day rush shipments.
